Leighton Denny Expert Nails Kit!

Ok, this post was inspired by my lovely blogging buddy Gaelle, who is currently doing a series of 5 minute reviews over on her blog Lipstick Ergo Sum. I thought I'd try doing a mini post now and again instead of rambling on and on (once I start I can't stop) and I have so many bits to blog about that things are getting out of hand ...!

So without further ado and in an effort to not ramble (see I'm heading that way already) ... if you read my recent Wishlist post (here) you'll see I've been after the Leighton Denny Crystal Nail File.  Now - I'm not a regular 'TK Maxxer' so it must have been fate that I happened to wander in last week and spot this Leighton Denny kit ...

I must admit there were other sets available containing multiple polishes but this one was calling to me!  Contains Best Defence Hand & Nail Cream, One For All top and base coat, three mini polishes in Sophisticated, Supermodel and Baby Doll, Miracle Mist Speed-Drying Spray and small Crystal Nail File. I've heard that these files are meant to last a long time (unless you happen to drop it on a hard floor - best make sure I don't!).  All this lot was on offer at £16 - to buy the small Crystal Nail File alone costs £12.50 so what a bargain! Right I'm off to file my nails!

Half-Term, Plan B and Elf Bargains to be had...!

Well another Friday is upon us, another half term has come and gone... I had some time off work and foolishly thought I would be able to chill and relax with the kids.  Not the case I'm afraid - it's been a bit manic for various reasons - one of which the poor pooch ended up with an eye injury and was in a lot of pain - we thought he may lose his sight in that eye. Thankfully he's been treated successfully after a couple of trips to the vets and should be ok but is now having problems with his (huge) ears - very narrow ear canals - common in King Charles Spaniels but his are extra narrow! So he's on eye medication, eye drops and ear drops - the poor thing is falling to bits!

This afternoon I should have been ironing school uniforms ready for Monday and putting PE kits back together but surprise surprise got totally distracted by Twitter and a half price offer at Elf Cosmetics - ended up ordering some goodies at bargain prices instead - it's got to be done. I am more than happy to stay in tonight - so cold and rainy and if the hubby wants to put some music on whilst I'm cooking his Enchiladas (!) then it's going to have to be something chilled such as...
